Welcome to Child Nursery Centers, now named Early Connections Learning Centers.

While our new website is being developed, please bear with us as you navigate this site and encounter references to both Child Nursery Centers (CNC) and Early Connections Learning Centers. The organizations are one and the same.

Early Connections Learning Centers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, that has been delivering comprehensive early care and education services to children since 1897. We are recognized statewide as a leader in early childhood education and serve children ages infant to 14 years in multiple locations and a variety of settings.

Early Connections Learning Centers operates four full-day, year-round centers in El Paso County and Dare To Dream, a before and after school program offered in several Harrison School District Two schools. Our Early Learning Ventures Alliance (ELVA) at Early Connections Learning Centers is a network of licensed Family Child Care Home Providers who offer comprehensive, high quality early care and education in smaller, more intimate settings during regular, and in some cases, non-traditional hours such as evenings and weekends. Eary Connections also operates Court Care for the Pikes Peak Region, a free drop-in facility for children whose families have court-related business.

Our student population is socio-economically and ethnically diverse. Approximately two-thirds of the families are single parent households. Almost 40% of Early Connections children are from families eligible for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP)a program for families living at or below 185% of poverty and qualify for free or reduced-cost meals. Services are offered to families on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size.

Early Connections has been a United Way partner agency since 1922 and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
